Privacy concerns, expense keep fingerprinting, eye scans out of U.S. ATMs

The technology currently exists to replace PINs with supposedly unbreakable biometrics, such as fingerprint and retina scans. It is being used in other countries, but it has yet to break into the North American market due to the privacy concerns associated with using such data and the expense involved in replacing or upgrading the thousands of ATMs around.
