The Canadian Privacy Law Blog

You may have noticed that I've changed the name of his blog from "PIPEDA and Canadian Privacy Law" to "The Canadian Privacy Law Blog." When I started it in January 2004, this blog was almost entirely about the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). Since then, it has morphed into a broader presentation of privacy law and issues with a privacy angle.

I started thinking about this after reading that only 8% of Canadians are aware of PIPEDA and surely fewer of my readers from outside of Canada have a clue what PIPEDA means.

In the coming weeks, I'm planning to move from over my own domain, I just have to figure out how to do it without causing too many problems for existing readers. I'll try to give as much notice as possible.

Congratulations on all the changes! What works well for others is to leave at least part of your previous blog on blogspot for a while with your last posting being the new web address. If anyone is looking for recent postings and sees the last posting has become dated, they will soon click on the link and discover your new site.
