Incident: Japanese tax office loses PCs with info on 470,000 taxpayers

A tax office in Japan has fessed up to losing two PCs that contained sensitive personal information on 470,000 self-employed taxpayers. The office said that the computers need a boot password and that the information is 'coded', "leaving little chance of a data leakage."
