Michael Geist's latest LawBytes column is devoted to Canada's proposed "Do Not Call" legislation. Or, the "Do Not Hesitate To Call" law, as he calls it. The law has been, in his words, gutted by the parliamentary committee to the point that it is no longer recognizable. There are a number of exceptions for charities, pollsters, politicians and those with a pre-existing business relationship. Micheal does not take kindly to the committee, which he says excluded consumer groups from their hearings.
