Following the Commissioner's adverse finding against Facebook, the social networking site's deadling to respond is tomorrowf (See: Canadian Privacy Law Blog: Canadian Privacy Commissioner calls on Facebook to improve privacy practices). I don't expect a big response from Facebook, so we'll have to wait to see if the Commissioner takes them to court. See: Facebook must satisfy Canada's privacy commissioner by Monday.

It will be interesting to hear what Facebook has to say as it could affect the way the site operates in the future. As well other social networking sites Facebook holds a lot of private information and this information needs to be stored in a way that is not harmful to the people who are registered on the site. For what it is worth I believe Facebook is a good social networking site as it largely prevents people from connecting that don't know each other.
