New Findings from the Office of the Privacy Commissioner

A new batch of PIPEDA findings have been released by the Office of the Privacy Commissioner:

  1. PIPED Act Case Summary #228: A transportation company disclosed an employee's personal information without consent
  2. PIPED Act Case Summary #227: Company did not record phone conversation and give transcript to the police
  3. PIPED Act Case Summary #226: Company's collection of medical information unnecessary; safeguards are inappropriate
  4. PIPED Act Case Summary #225: Telecommunications company disclosed customer's personal information
  5. PIPED Act Case Summary #224: Bank failed to correct credit rating discrepancy and to provide access to financial records
