Representatives of Human Resources and Skills Development Canada appeared before the House of Commons Standing Committee on Human Resources, Skills and Social Development and the Status of Persons with Disabilities (HUMA) to account for HRSDC's data loss. Though the HUMA committee has oversight of HRSDC, they should also be dragged in front of the Standing Committee on Access to Information, Privacy and Ethics (ETHI), which has oversight of privacy more generally.
